Join Römer Family for Hungarian folk music fun!

The summer is over and lockdown has been eased for some time. I welcome that performing arts are coming back to life with less restrictions.

Some of you might have been to the concerts I have organised just before this summer. I have enjoyed playing music to local audience and decided to launch a series of concerts, under the name of “Sound Bridge Kings Heath.” My aim is to bring a quality musical events to the local area a few times a year to make music more accessible.

As a starter, I would like to invite all of you to family-friendly concert of Hungarian folk music with Römer Family on Friday 8 October, in a beautiful Church of  All Saints Kings Heath.

The leader of Römer Family is Adam Römer, a Hungarian Folk violinist/violist of Folktone band, which has recently been featured in BBC Proms. Adam comes from a musical family in Hungary and has been exposed to both classical and authentic Hungarian folk music since birth. Adam is currently a section leader violist at City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.

Römer Family was formed in 2020 during the lockdown and has already been featured in Bach to Baby series in London, Muzikstan in Birmingham and Gobe Fest in Manchester with great success.

This is a very family-friendly concert (so please bring your children/grand children/babies!) lasting 45-50 min, introducing various traditional folk tunes from different corners of Hungary and Transylvania.
