Interested in learning Baroque Violin?
Are you by any chance interested in learning Baroque Violin/Historical Performance Practice?
With the impact of corona virus, private music lessons has had a great impact. As the lockdown will be slowly eased, personal lessons will be resumed, but at the same time, this situation has made most of the musicians to offer online video call lessons. We understand that this option is not an ideal one, but it has a great advantage of nullifying the distance we can cover. Technically, teacher and students can be anywhere in the world, as long as there is an internet connection.
I am now offering baroque violin lessons open to anyone (from professional musicians seeking extra advice, music students to amateur musicians). Also for modern violin players who would like to know more about historical performance practice are welcome. I can offer some insights on how one can apply these concepts while playing on the modern violin.
My musical education and professional life has taken me in various places, working with many great musicians. I had my trainings in Tokyo, Toronto(Canada), Berlin (Germany) and various European cities attending short courses for early music. This experience, I believe, enables me to be able to offer broad perspectives on the topic.
Also, as I am currently teaching at University of Birmingham, if you are considering to study baroque violin in UK, I can offer some trial lessons. Birmingham is the second largest city located in the center of England. It takes only 84 minutes to London by train, yet the living cost is much more affordable. There are variety of world famous early music ensembles in the country, making it one of the most attractive places to learn early music.
